Course
Welcome to the historic Abergele course, an 18 hole parkland course with picturesque views over the North Wales Coast and the historic Gwrych Castle Estate.
There are many beauty spots across the course, giving you opportunity to take a moment and admire the wonderful views. For example, upon completing the 17th – gentle in comparison to some of the other courses in the locality – you can stand back and admire the distant views of Blackpool Pleasure Beach or, on a clear day, the Isle of Man some 70 miles away.
With strategically placed bunkers to trap the unwary, many of the par 4 holes may prove challenging to newcomers. The par 5 holes of the course are renowned for their own distinct features. Early in the course, the 3rd has hazards both left and right, making it a good driving hole with its green cut into a ledge on the distant slope. At 580 yards, Abergele Golf Club boasts one of the longest holes in Wales, the 8th, which saw a recent transformation of its green, redesigned to ensure you accurately place your approach shot.
